Netflix users are being forced to spend more money once again, and the company has confirmed the new price hike this week which will surely not please many of you. The new price increase is applicable for all the Netflix plans which includes the standard with ads, standard without ads and the Premium 4K version.

The company has even cited its ongoing efforts to deliver value and more content as the main reason behind the latest price revision which now takes the monthly Netflix subscription prices up to $24.99 (Rs 2,140 approx) in select countries.

Netflix Prices Increase Again: How Much You Pay And Which Users Affected

Netflix standard plan with ads is available in select regions, and that doesn’t include India. This plan now costs $7.99 per month (Rs 687 approx), the non-ad standard plan is priced at $17.99 (Rs 1,540 approx) per month and the most premium plan costs $24.99 (Rs 2,140 approx) for these users.

Netflix says people in countries like the US, Canada, Argentina and Portugal will be paying the new monthly prices for its service. Those living in India can breathe a sigh of relief and they will continue to pay the existing high monthly prices in the country. Having said that, a new price hike is hard to discount, even though Netflix charges the highest among the OTT apps in the market.

The platform seems to have found the right formula to get more users and the password sharing restrictions have worked in its favour. Netflix claims it has added millions of new users over the last few quarters, and now we might see its rivals copy this model to swell up their numbers. However, in markets like India, price does play a big role in making pay for the services and Netflix will do well to keep its platform aggressive.
