Samsung’s big Galaxy Unpacked event will finally happen this week but we are also seeing the first possible renders of the Galaxy S25 Slim that could be unveiled later this year. The Slim nature of the rumoured Samsung phone has got people intrigued but the new leaked design is unlikely to get you excitement.
The new model, rumoured to come with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, is revealed to have a flat front, back, and sides in these renders. In the pics, the display is seen with thin bezels and a hole-punch cutout at the top for housing the selfie camera. The device seems to have a triple rear camera unit which is the standard layout for most Samsung phones these days.
The Galaxy S25 Slim is anticipated to be previewed or teased at the Samsung Unpacked event on January 2. The Slim model, however, will not launch alongside the other three models in the family; instead, it is expected to arrive in May.
The Galaxy S25 Slim is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM. Talking about the frame, the Galaxy S25 Slim will reportedly have a depth of 6.4mm which is not exactly a slim profile.
The screen of the Galaxy S25 Slim could be between 6.7-inch and 6.8-inch with uniform bezels on all sides. The slim variant could be 1.6mm narrower, 3.8mm shorter, and 1.8mm thinner than the upcoming Ultra model. Its design will likely resemble the standard variant, with a glass back, a flat metal frame, and a vertically aligned triple rear camera setup.
Samsung could still pack a 200MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP telephoto lenswith 3.5x optical zoom. The Galaxy S25 Slim will also run Android 15 with One UI 7 on top from day one.
The Galaxy S25 series will support Qi2 wireless charging, ensuring faster charging. The Slim model could pack a 4,000mAh battery with 25W wired and 15W wireless charging support as compared to the previous S24 lineup which is drastically low for smartphones these days and could have a big impact on its endurance.
