The big Apple rumours have started coming in for 2025 and the latest report also talks about the upcoming iPads for the year. The company is tipped to bring its AI features to more devices in 2025 and that could include the standard iPad 2025 model. Yes, after launching the iPad Mini 7 version with AI support, Apple could expand its availability to the basic iPad model that will be launching this year.

This also means that Apple could prolong the use of the A-series chipset that was powering the iPhone 15 Pro models in 2023.

iPads Going AI In 2025: About Time

Apple’s AI journey has been slow and hard to say it has been steady. However, the company needs to widen its AI support to more devices, which probably explains the reason for an iPad Mini version that gets AI features. And now, Apple could bring the regular iPads to its AI kitty in 2025 which could invariably attract more users with its price tag.

The report from Bloomberg suggests Apple will pack the new iPad model with 8GB RAM which is a requirement to run the Apple AI features and the new Siri version. It is interesting to hear that Apple will power the new iPad with the A17 Pro chipset, because earlier reports claimed that the company has moved away from this SoC and is now more keen to work with the A18 series chipsets for its products.

But the source of the latest news makes us believe that Apple could probably bring the hardware back on the new iPad which should help with pricing the product aggressively. The iPad got its long overdue design upgrade in 2024 with the 10 gen model, so we don’t expect Apple to change its looks but ensure it has a future-proof hardware to appeal to the buyers. More importantly, we hope the company doesn’t look to hike the iPad 2025 model price for which these upgrades are being mentioned.
