Apple continues to grow under the leadership of CEO Tim Cook but reports this year have suggested that the company might be planning for the future, which means the post-Cook trajectory for the brand.

So when he gets a chance to speak in front of the media, they understandably question him about his plans and whether he would be leaving the tech giant anytime soon. Cook was speaking to the Wired recently, where he finally got a chance to put his side forward in front of the public.

Cook started his answer by explaining he has been asked the question recently (about him leaving) more than he used to. But giving a more clearer response to this million dollar question, Cook was honest and upfront about his future at the company. It’s a privilege of a lifetime to be here. And I’ll do it until the voice in my head says, “It’s time," and then I’ll go and focus on what the next chapter looks like," the Apple CEO said.

The Apple Chief was obviously emotional when this question was put to him and talked about how his life has been wrapped up in this company since he joined them in 1998 and would find it hard to move on when the day eventually comes. It’s the overwhelming majority of my adult life. And so I love it,"

It is not like Cook did not have a life before Apple. In fact, he worked with prestigious companies like Compaq, Intelligent Electronics and even IBM where he was part of the company for over 12 years. Apple will clearly have some plans in place when the time comes to replace Cook and it is likely that the current chief will have a big role in making sure the right person takes over the helm of the trillion dollar valued tech behemoth.
