OnePlus 13 is finally here, at least in China, making it one of the first phones to be powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. The flagship OnePlus phone will once again come without a Pro model, which means you get all the powerful bells and whistles in the regular variant itself. The OnePlus 13 now looks less-curvier thanks to the flat frame, which seems to have become a common theme about the premium phones this year (the iPhone effect?), and some new additions that are noteworthy for the price tag.

OnePlus 13 With Flat Design – What’s New

The curves from the display have gone, which brings a flat-ish OnePlus 13 to the market. The camera module now sits away from the edge along with a metal strip where you will see the new H logo for the Hasselblad branding. The company has upgraded the display to an X2 OLED panel with adaptive refresh rate and the new ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

The phone also gets IP69 rating which makes it safer in front of the water, even when the pressure is high.

It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset with up to 24GB RAM and 1TB storage. OnePlus brings the phone with the ColorOS 15 version in China, while other regions will get it with the OxygenOS 15 version that was announced recently.

On the imaging side, the OnePlus 13 now has a triple rear camera setup which consists of a 50MP sensor with OIS, a 50MP sensor with 3x periscope lens and a 50MP ultrawide shooter. The OnePlus 13 also benefits from the new battery tech which allows the device to pack a 6000mAh unit but still offer 100W wired and 50W wireless charging speeds.

The OnePlus 13 is likely to set a date for its global and India launch sometime early 2025, which could be January like last year, or later. Going by the price changes, expect the OnePlus 13 launch in India to have some surprises.
