Google Brings This Critical iPhone-Like Security Feature For Android Phones: What It Means
Samsung’s issues with the Android 15 update continues and it seems the company has been forced to pull the One UI 7 version from the market. Reports this week claim Samsung has observed serious bugs in the Android 15 update that was officially confirmed to roll out starting from April 7 but now those plans might have been pushed to a later date.
Samsung introduced the One UI 7 version with the Galaxy S25 series in January this year but most of the other Galaxy flagship phone owners are still waiting for their first Android OS upgrade from the company.
Samsung One UI 7 Update Issue: What We Know
The details about the new Android 15 issue has come via tipster named IceUniverse on X this week, who has a track record of reliable news on Samsung over the years. The tipster claims Samsung discovered a major bug in the Galaxy S24 South Korea firmware which has resulted in suspending the One UI 7 roll out globally.
Further explaining the reason for the decision, the same source says, many users in its home market were not able to unlock their Galaxy phones after installing the new One UI 7 update. Samsung has not officially confirmed the decision to pause the update roll out but going by the intense social chatter on Monday, the move seems imminent.
Samsung does sell its phones with a mix of Exynos and Snapdragon chipsets, so it is possible that the phones running on its in-house SoC are facing the issues, but we can’t say that for certain.
It is becoming hard to understand the issues facing the One UI 7 version for Samsung. The brand has already offered the new update on the latest Galaxy phones, so why is the same OS facing bugs after a thorough test by the developer team. We are hoping Samsung does eventually decide to share the concerns raised by its customers and make sure they get the promised quota of 7 OS upgrades.
The company has also pulled the upgrades for the Galaxy S20 series users, who got their last patch in March 2025. Samsung claims that the One UI 7 update will bring a “bold new design for greater personalisation and control to the user experience", many customers have expressed their frustration over its delayed release.
The majority of the other smartphone brands like Xiaomi, OnePlus, Sony and Motorola rolled out the Android 15 update in November last year.
