Apple IOS New Update: iOS 18.5 beta update is available to developers and its public release is likely to happen in May but Apple also has a small update before that in the form of iOS 18.4.1 version. Reports this week say the company is testing the 18.4.1 version with its employees which means the full roll out should be done in the next few weeks. 

Apple has been swift with its updates in 2025 even though most of the big AI features are now facing delays until next year. However, iPhone users will be eager to see what the iOS 18.4.1 update brings for these devices. 

iOS 18.4.1 Update In April: What To Expect 

The iOS 18.4.1 update is unlikely to come with new features and like the previous mid-month updates, we expect the new version to also focus on any software bugs that have come with the iOS 18.4 update earlier and also fix security issues with iPhones if Apple has seen anything malicious. 

The iOS 18.4.1 update will then be followed by the iOS 18.5 version which will be the last in the iOS 18 series from Apple. 

The iOS 18.5 beta is getting closer to the new version and giving us some more features. The new iOS 18 update should be out by early May giving people and developers enough time to work out the issue before the public version is ready. 

Going by the update log for iOS 18.5 beta, the new version will let you customise the look of the Apple Mail app by letting you hide the profile photos of the contacts within the Settings. In addition to this, you will see the AppleCare and Warranty section looking slightly different with a cleaner banner. 

The iOS 19 announcement will be part of the WWDC 2025 event in June and from there on, the countdown for the public roll out will start along with the iPhone 17 series later this year.
